Homecare Relief is Melbourne’s leading home care provider. We have experience providing home care help to the Aged, those with a Disability, people returning home from Hospital and those in need of Palliative care.

Based on our beliefs we have created a boutique home care agency run by nurses with a passion for delivering the highest level of care. We ensure that the client feels safe and that changes in clients’ conditions are communicated to family members providing them with peace of mind that their loved ones are receiving the care they need.
We understand that every client is different with individual needs. All in home care clients are offered a free consultation to better understand the client’s needs with a view to tailoring a care plan that best suits the client and to help match the best carer to each client.

We believe that the success of our home care services is dependent on delivering the type of care which we ourselves would expect for our loved ones. We understand that some clients only require home care for a short amount of time which is why our minimum care engagement is one hour unlike many who have 3 hour minimums.
Our aim is to promote and support people to live independently in their homes by creating a supportive partnership. Our carers are carefully selected and they arrive at your door smiling, happy and with the energy to provide the best possible care.
In addition to great care givers Homecare Relief have a team of home care coordinators who meet with families and carers to discuss care needs and provide feedback on how the client is progressing. We ensure our staff have the necessary skills and support to work with clients who have complex needs.
As a result of our years of experience we have a quality system in place that assures the highest standards are met so we can deliver the very best level of care to you. All of our procedures and policies have been audited as we have ISO 9001 accreditation. To ensure that all of your support requirements are met, we work closely with you, your family doctor, other health carer providers and care coordinators.

Unlike many other home care providers all of our carers are experienced and qualified. We do not employ unqualified staff. We know that there is apprehension in allowing a stranger into your home to look after a loved one. This is why we require all of our staff to undergo a rigorous recruitment process. Face to face interviews are conducted to assess the applicant’s clinical skills, experience and personality to undertake this important role. Valid Police Checks are mandatory as is Working With Children Checks for carers who work with children.
We believe quality is the responsibility of everyone from the person answering your query to the carer providing the care. Our quality system assures the highest standards are met so we can deliver the very best service to you. Homecare Relief staff are responsive to changing client needs and are trained to observe and report any observations of adverse changes in client condition.
We are also unique from many other home care providers in that we can also supply registered nurses to work in the home should there be a need.
We believe that building trust between the carer and the client is critical which is why we place so much emphasis on matching of carers. We do not assign staff just to fill a shift. Apart from identifying a carer with the right experience and qualifications, we also consider the sex, age, personality, and interests of our staff which best match the needs of the client.
Clients are assigned a personal home care coordinator who is responsible for all aspects of the care for the client. This includes matching of staff, reviewing and updating the care plan, being in constant contact to ensure that the client is happy and addressing promptly any issues raised.
